Opportunities with The Iron Boot Scrapers
The Iron Boot Scrapers uses only the best musicians and performers, who are willing to take part in the energy of the performance and have fun and interact with our audiences. If you have any theatrical, composition or comedy writing abilities then these will be valued in your application.
We will probably have a current band working as The Iron Boot Scrapers, but there is always a turn over of musicians, so if you audition now you may not get immediate gigs, but it would be worth your while, as we can't be certain when a position will open, and, if you have already been auditioned then we can call on you when the occasion arises.
Also, there have been occasions when musicians aren't available for gigs and we value any trained up deps.
Also, if you aren't a sousaphone player (the only one let off singing), you will also have to be able to sing and harmonise whilst performing on your chosen instrument.
The general line up of The Iron Boot Scrapers is:
sousaphone
saxophone (or any other wind instrument, such as trumpet, trombone etc..) and singing
percussion and singing
banjo (or some other banjo hybrid, such as banjo-guitar, ukulele-banjo) and singing
